Black Poppy — Original Acrylic Painting, 24 × 24 in

Black Poppy — Original Acrylic Painting With Citrine | 24 × 24"

Dramatic, sophisticated and completely one of a kind, Black Poppy is an original 24 × 24" acrylic painting embellished with genuine Citrine semi-precious stones. The striking black floral composition is elevated by warm, jewel-like Citrine accents, creating a contemporary statement piece that feels part fine art, part jewelry. This is the original artwork — not a print or reproduction. Only one exists.

Where Art Meets Jewelry

Black Poppy was created for someone looking for something beyond traditional floral art.

The dramatic beauty of a poppy is reimagined through a sophisticated black palette, giving this familiar flower a bold, modern presence. I incorporated genuine Citrine semi-precious stones into the artwork to introduce an unexpected natural element and subtle luminosity.

The contrast between the dark floral composition and the warm golden character of Citrine makes this piece especially striking.

As light moves across the surface, the stones catch it differently, revealing subtle details and giving the painting a beautiful dimensional quality that photographs cannot fully capture.

A Dramatic Statement For A Beautiful Interior

At 24 × 24 inches, Black Poppy has enough presence to become a focal point while remaining versatile enough for many spaces.

Display it above a console or dresser, beside a modern accent chair, over a fireplace, or as a statement piece in a living room, bedroom, dining room, entryway, dressing room or home office.

Its dramatic palette pairs especially beautifully with white, ivory, cream, beige, warm grey and charcoal interiors. Marble, natural wood, glass, brass and muted gold accents can further complement the warm tones of the Citrine.

For a darker interior, Black Poppy can create a sophisticated tone-on-tone gallery effect, allowing the texture and natural stones to become the focal point.

Original Art For A Collected Home

The most interesting interiors often contain something unexpected—an object that makes you look twice.

That is what I wanted Black Poppy to be.

From a distance, it reads as a bold contemporary floral painting. As you move closer, the individual brushwork, dimensional details and natural Citrine reveal themselves.

Unlike mass-produced wall décor, every variation belongs exclusively to this piece.

There will never be another Black Poppy exactly like this one.

The Beauty Of Natural Citrine

Every Citrine stone is naturally individual, with variations in color, clarity, texture and shape. These differences are not imperfections—they are part of what makes natural stone beautiful.

Combined with the hand-painted surface, they give the artwork an organic, jewelry-like character that cannot be reproduced exactly.

The Symbolism Of The Poppy

Poppies are often associated with remembrance, resilience, imagination and beauty.

The black interpretation gives this traditional floral subject a more dramatic contemporary character, while the golden warmth of Citrine creates a beautiful visual contrast.

This makes Black Poppy an intriguing choice not only for your own collection, but also as a distinctive original-art gift for a new home, anniversary, birthday or important milestone.
